Saudi Arabia and Iran are negotiating a ceasefire
In a step to further improve relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran will pay a visit to the city of Riyadh.
Today is Thursday, Hossein Amirab-dullahian is expected to make a visit, two months after his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, made a similar visit to Tehran.
In May of this year, the two countries resumed diplomatic relations, seven years after Saudi Arabia severed all relations with Iran.
It was China that took the lead in trying to restore the relationship, at a stage where China is seen to be gaining more space and power to fight in the Middle East.
