Security has been tightened in a part of India due to ethnic conflict
Authorities in the northern Indian state of Haryana have stepped up security in Nuh district, after Hindu religious groups said they would continue holding rallies that were halted by sectarian violence last month.
The state authorities refused to grant permission for the event after the death of six people during an attack in July.
Security forces have now been sent to areas where there are many followers of Islam after closing schools and suspending the internet.
Since the crisis, the security agency has banned gatherings of more than four people in the area.
