According to some information obtained by Reuters News Agency, they show that the suspect was charged on the 18th of this month, after he committed the alleged crime against a 41-year-old man.

Jacqueline Okui, Director of Publicity at the Office of the National Prosecutor, confirmed that the young man will be arraigned before a magistrate's court on the 18th of this month, where the court ordered his detention.

The accused's lawyer, Justine Balya, stated that the accusation against the young man is against the constitution of the country, where she confirmed that her client was the first person to be accused of same-sex attraction in the country. she did not comment on that.

Although Uganda has spent years without executing the death penalty, there is a law that provides for it, where the President of the country Yoweri Museveni was heard in 2018 saying that the death penalty will be brought back to reduce committing crimes in different parts of the country.
