The head of Sudan's military government is visiting Egypt
Officials in Sudan said the country's army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, left the country to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
This is the first time he has left the country since the outbreak of conflict in April between the army and the RSF.
The president of Egypt supported General Burhan in the war that the United Nations says has forced more than four million Sudanese to leave their homes.
General Burhan was at the military center in Khartoum until a few days ago because of the crisis that the country is going through but now he is in Egypt, which may mean that the army is not under pressure like before.
The rival RSF may have been weakened in the capital. But in Darfur, the RSF is strong and carries out ethnic-based attacks.
