298 Nigerians have been repatriated from Libyan prisons
298 Nigerians stranded in Libya were sent home in different chartered flights earlier this week.
The NEMA Emergency Relief Agency said they were returned directly from Libyan prisons.
Most of those returned are women who have spent a long time in various detention camps in the North African country, which is suffering from conflict.
Among those sent home are 119 women, most of whom are pregnant, with three girls and two babies, and 170 men, three boys, and one baby boy.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations (UN) took responsibility for repatriating them under the Protection and Assistance Program
