 The Nigerian Army has raided the camp of the IPOB separatists

The Nigerian Army, the police and other security forces have raided the hideout of the IPOB faction in the Orsomoghu forest that connects Anambra and Imo states.

The spokesman of the command, Brigadier-General Onyeama Nwachukwu said that they carried out the raid after receiving information about the crimes committed by the members of the group in enforcing the two-week stay at home in Onitsha, Nnewi and Iheme Obosi in Anambra state and the new market in Enugu state.

He said the forces destroyed the camp of IPOB in Ekeututu, Orsomoghu and Lilu where they arrested five members of the group and recovered many goods.

Five soldiers and two policemen were injured due to the explosive device set off by the IPOB members.

The Nigerian Army has encouraged the people of the South-East of the country to continue to give the necessary information to the security forces and to ignore the two-week stay-at-home orders given by IPOB.
