The President of the Senate rushed to the Presidential Palace
Reports from the Nigerian Presidential Palace say that the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, rushed to the Presidential Palace this afternoon.
Local newspapers reported that Akpabio was seen at the presidential palace at about 2:55 in the afternoon.
There are no details so far on the reasons for his visit to Aso Rock Palace.
However, the visit came after the senate went into secret session on the tussle that broke out in the chamber when Festus Keyamo was being nominated as a minister.
The MPs are divided on whether they should suspend the assessment of Keyamo, because of the accusation of contempt of the parliament and calling the MPs corrupt people when he was a minister during President Buhari's administration.
There was a lot of uproar in the House before later the members of the House of Elders agreed to enter into a secret meeting to resolve the issue.
After that, journalists with Festus Kiyamo were asked to leave the hall.
