We have not received any instructions on the plan to start attacking the forces of the Niger Revolution - the Nigerian Army
The Nigerian Army has said that it has not yet received any orders to take military action against the coup d'état in the Republic of Niger.
The spokesperson of the army, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau said this today when he was responding to an online report that the army is preparing its forces to take military action in the Republic of Niger.
General Gusau said that the decision to use military force is the last step that should be taken on the matter if all other options fail to negotiate with the coup attempters and restore the government of the Republic of Niger to the rule of law.
He pointed out that the Nigerian Armed Forces cannot continue planning with any ECOWAS country, without the permission of the Heads of State and Government.
