Gabon's military government has inaugurated the executive council
The head of the military government of Gabon, General Brice Oligui Nguema, has inaugurated the cabinet of his government, including politicians from various parties in the country.
The cabinet includes former advisers to the ousted president, former ministers, military officers and civil society members.
However, information says that the cabinet does not include prominent people in the government of Ali Bongo Odimba.
mr. Ndong Sima was appointed as the person who will lead the establishment of the transitional government, after the coup that went smoothly with Ali Bongo Odimba, shortly after he was announced as the winner of the election.
Even though there is no time frame issued by the military to return the government to civilian hands, it is seen as if they did not usurp the government to be in power, as they also announced.
The establishment of the 26-member cabinet comes two days after the appointment of 68-year-old Ndong Sima, who held the position of Prime Minister under President Bongo's government from 2012 to 2014.
