The people of Morocco continue to grieve over the terrible earthquake that hit some areas in the country, killing more than 2 thousand people so far.

There are still thousands of people whose number is unknown who are under the rubble and have not been rescued.

The report of the health officials in the country said that until now there are 2 thousand and 59 people who are lying in the hospital, because of the serious injuries they have suffered as a result of the earthquake.

Last Friday, the people of the country experienced this earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 which was 72 kilometers deep underground in the city of Marrakesh, which caused the destruction of many villages.

The army of the country has announced that it has succeeded in reaching a dead mountain that is suspected of suppressing many people, but the process of finding them has not yet started.

Statistics show that in Al-Haouz province, where the earthquake was the worst, more than 1,293 people died, and Taroudant province where 452 bodies were found.

The neighboring country of Algeria has already opened its upper and lower borders to enter Morocco for emergency aid despite the diplomatic disagreement between them which made them close their borders in the past.

So far, the government has announced to set aside three days for the mourning of the lost people.
