The Moroccan army and aid teams in trucks and helicopters continue to try to rescue people from Buraguzo, after a devastating earthquake struck and killed more than 2,400 people.

So far, Moroccan officials have only received government aid from four countries, Spain, Qatar, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, but some foreign aid organizations have said they are waiting for permission from the European Union.
The Ministry of the Interior of Morocco said that officials want to avoid a lack of cooperation that could lead to a setback in the system.
The United Nations estimated that 300,000 people were killed by the 6.8-magnitude earthquake on Friday night, whose depth made it worse.
Most of the damage and deaths occurred in the province of Al Haouz in the Atlas mountains, where houses collapsed one by one, while the ruins of buildings blocked the roads. Sometimes the local residents do the work of removing the stones themselves.
