The trade union will decide on going on strike

The Nigerian Labor Union will hold an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council regarding its plans to go on strike.

This action follows the completion of the 21-day deadline given by the union to the government to meet their demands.

In an invitation letter sent to the press on Tuesday, the NLC said that it will meet with the press today to confirm its decision.

The union had previously organized a general strike on the 5th and 6th of September, because of the high cost of living in the country as a result of President Bola Tinubu's withdrawal of oil subsidies.

In addition, about a month ago, the labor union went on strike to solve the problems related to the cost of living, but later called off the strike after talks with President Bola Tinubu.
