Tinubu will go to India for the G-20 meeting


Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will attend the meeting of the G-20 industrialized nations.


In a statement released by the president's spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, he said that Tinubu will attend the meeting based on a special invitation sent to him by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.


Mr. Ngelale said Tinubu will leave Nigeria on Monday for Delhi, India where the meeting will be held.


Despite the fact that Nigeria is not part of the G-20 group, President Tinubu is expected to address the meeting.


The statement also said that on the sidelines of the meeting, President Tinubu will deliver a speech at a meeting with the Prime Minister of India, and a business meeting between the two countries that will be organized.


Senior citizens and government officials of India and Nigeria will participate in the trade talks between the two countries.


Ngelale said the Nigerian president will use this meeting to attract foreign investors to Nigeria to create jobs and increase the country's income to develop its economy.


Among the government officials who will accompany the President to the meeting are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Minister of Communications, and the Minister of Trade and Industry.


President Tinubu will return to Nigeria once the meeting is over, according to the announcement.
