From tomorrow October 2, the price of a bag of BUA cement will return to N3,500 - the company

The Board of Directors of BUA Cement Company has announced that from October 2 the price of a bag of cement will go back to three thousand five hundred naira (N3,500).

Therefore, the company will now start selling a bag of cement for N3,500 as opposed to the way it was sold in the past for N5,000 in some places even up to N5,500.

According to the company, this is another step to make it easier for Nigerians to have access to construction and to reduce the cost of building materials. Where the company said, there is a new good news once the work of the new lines that the company is currently doing is completed, by the new year, the company will review the possibility of reducing the price.

According to the statement: "In line with our previous announcement of our intention to reduce the price of cement once we complete the opening of our new lines at the end of the year, in order to develop the building materials and construction sector.

"In our effort to reduce the price of our products and review our operations from time to time, the management board of BUA informs its business partners and stakeholders as well as the community that from October 2, 2023, we have reached a decision to reduce the price .

"According to that, from now on, a bag of BUA cement will be sold for 3,500 naira so that Nigerians can start taking advantage of the price before we complete our plans."

According to the announcement, an additional benefit is that all those who ordered to buy the cement at the current price will be considered to convert it to 3,500 naira based on the new price that will be effective from October 2.

The company has advised its dealers to ensure that the public benefited from this new price and the company will make sure that the instructions for using the new price are followed without hesitation.

If it can be recalled, the Chairman of BUA, Abdul-Samad Rabiu, recently when he visited President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, announced that the company is ready to reduce the price of cement in Nigeria to N3,500 or even less than that.
