EFCC has arrested 27 people for alleged internet fraud in Bauchi
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria (EFCC) has arrested 27 people for allegedly committing online fraud in Bauchi state in the north-east of the country.
In a message published by the agency on its page X, it said that the officers of the Gombe district agency arrested the men on Thursday, February 22.
The agency said its officers arrested the men at a hotel in Yelwa town in Bauchi state, after receiving intelligence on the allegations of people committing cyber crimes.
The EFCC also recovered other things from the people including a small BMW car, iPhones, computers and other big phones.
The agency said it will charge the people before the court as soon as it completes the investigation.
