EFCC Will Start Arresting Money Launderers
In an attempt to revive the value of the naira, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has set up a special force with 7 thousand officers to work in all its 14 regional offices in the country. here, in order to crack down on those who are raking in the dollar price that is beyond the norm.
This action comes when the value of the naira fell again yesterday Wednesday, after the one dollar bill was exchanged for 1,500 naira in the backstage markets, while its official price is 1,418 naira.
The spokesperson of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, said that the agency has invited the owners of private universities and other schools that collect school fees in dollars in this country.
The agency said it has arrested some of the school owners who collect school fees in dollars in Lagos and Rivers states to protect the economy of the country.
