I don't know about the release of Murja Kunya - Abba Kabir
The Kano state government has said it has no knowledge of the release of popular TikTok girl Murja Ibrahim Kunya.
The spokesperson of the state governor, Sanusi Bature, told the BBC that the governor, Abba Kabir, had no knowledge of Murja's arrest.
"We don't know who released Murja, the judiciary can provide information on that," said Sanusi Bature.
He said that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is not involved in the affairs of the judiciary.
The governor's spokesperson said that the issue has not reached a point that would lead to the government's intervention.
"The honorable governor is not here on vacation, and he should not be associated with this small matter," said Sanusi Bature.
He said the size of the governorship is more related to the issue because over 20 million people rule in Kano state.
