Niger will start supplying Burkina Faso and Mali with diesel to solve the energy problem
The Republic of Niger, which has been under sanctions since the military coup in July last year, will start supplying the countries of Burkina, Mali, Chad and Togo with diesel to meet their energy needs. This step was taken at the meeting. and ministers from the five countries held in the city of Yamai the country's government palace.
At the end of their meeting, the ministers agreed and signed an agreement to supply diesel fuel from Niger to Chad, Burkina and Mali.
A statement after the meeting that they released shows that they are now in discussion to see how Niger will start supplying diesel fuel to Togo.
Currently, the countries of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Chad are all under military rule, three of which have come together in the alliance of Sahel countries with the aim of establishing a single federation.
Saturday's meeting did not provide detailed information on other future plans.
Since 2011, Niger has begun to refine 20 thousand barrels of Diesel oil per day, in Zinder, in the middle east of the country.
At the beginning of November last year, Niger launched a large oil pipeline with the aim of selling crude oil that will be transported from Agadem in the southeast of the country to its neighbor Benin.
