Polling stations are closed for the presidential, parliamentary and local government elections in Indonesia.


It is seen as the biggest and most holy election where more than two hundred million voters in different islands across the country will vote.


The BBC representative said that about seven million government officials and temporary officials of the electoral commission will work in this important election in one day.


Three candidates are competing in the election.


The Minister of National Defense, Prabowo Subianto, is the candidate who is expected to win the election despite concerns over his role in human rights issues when he was the commander of a security force. especially in the 1990s.

Then Ganjar Pranowo, 55 years old, who was the former governor of Central Java twice.


There is also 54-year-old Anies Baswedan, former Minister of Education and Governor of Jakarta, the capital of the country.
