Post Matric Scholarship is a scheme introduced by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to support the higher education of ST students. Here are some key points about this scholarship:

Eligibility: Only ST students who have passed the 10th or equivalent exam and wish to pursue studies in classes 11th to post-graduation are eligible. Annual family income must be less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

Benefits: The scholarship provides financial assistance to meet education-related expenses - tuition fees, maintenance allowance, book allowance, hostel charges, special allowance to students with disabilities, etc.

Selection: Scholarships are awarded by the state government agencies based on merit, income criteria, and preference to girl students. Reservation policies are also followed.

Renewal: Scholarship is renewed annually based on promotion to the next class/year of study with over 60% marks in the previous year.

Amounts: Allowances differ for different education levels - classes 11-12 get Rs. 1200-3600 per month, graduation gets Rs. 2500-3000 per month and post-graduation gets Rs. 3100-5400 per month.

Implementation: Funds are directly transferred to students' bank accounts. Verification of enrolment and progress is done by the institutions.
