An Israeli was arrested on suspicion of involvement in Iran's attempt to assassinate Netanyahu 

An Israeli citizen was arrested for involvement in the country's attempt against Iran to kill the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials of the country's government, according to the intelligence agency.

The national police force and other intelligence agencies said that the man was taken twice to Iran and was paid to kill Netanyahu.

In a statement issued by the authorities, they said that the suspect is a businessman who used to live in Turkey, and he has many business associates there, who took him to Iran to receive this contract.

This announcement came at a time when tensions between Iran and Israel are increasing.

The statement added that the suspect was arrested last week, where they said he was attempting to attack the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the head of the Internal Security Agency.

The statement said that in April and May, the suspect went to Samandag in Turkey where he met a rich Iranian named Eddie with the help of two Turkish citizens.
