 Four killed, more than 20 injured in deadly Beirut attack

The Lebanese health ministry said four people were killed and more than 20 injured after Israel launched a deadly airstrike on the center of Beirut.

The missiles fired by Israeli warplanes hit an eight-story civilian building in downtown Beirut.

The loud explosion was heard across the city early Saturday.

The Lebanese news agency said five missiles fired at the building in the city's Basta neighborhood destroyed the upper floor.

Lebanese officials had earlier said more than 60 people had been killed and dozens more wounded in the Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of Beirut on Friday.
