Tottenham is getting closer to making a big deal with RB Leipzig to sign Xavi Simons. The length of the contract has been made public, and talks with the German club are now at an advanced stage.
There have been many changes since yesterday's news that Xavi Simons went to London to finalize his plans for the future.
Since then, Tottenham Hotspur has taken the lead in the race to sign Simons, even though Chelsea has already agreed to terms with the 22-year-old midfielder.
There are now reports that Tottenham have agreed to pay RB Leipzig €60 million (£51 million). This puts them ahead of Chelsea for now, since the Blues have not yet made an official offer for the Dutch player.
Xavi Simons has signed a seven-year deal with Tottenham.
Now, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has written on X about the full terms of the deal Tottenham is working on with Simons this summer.
Plettenberg says that Xavi Simons has agreed to sign a seven-year deal with Spurs that will keep him there until 2032. He made it clear, though, that the deal has not yet been signed, even though an agreement has been made.
In his X post, he wrote, "Xavi Simons has agreed to a 7-year deal with Tottenham that will last until 2032." The deal hasn't been signed yet. Harry Kane.

Spurs are still working hard to complete the deal for Xavi Simons.
Paul O'Keefe, who works for Tottenham, also said earlier today that the club hopes to complete a deal for Simons before this weekend's game against Bournemouth.
Simons makes €115,835 (about £100,000) a week at RB Leipzig, which is a salary that fits well with Tottenham's current pay structure, even if the Dutchman wants a raise.
Personal terms have been agreed upon and a fee has been agreed upon with Leipzig. David Ornstein has also stated that only minor paperwork is required before Simons can be officially confirmed as a Tottenham player. This is an important situation to keep an eye on.
