On Saturday, Sept. 27, the family posted to their Instagram account, family member Isabelle disclosed that their father Bill Putman, known by the grandchildren as Papa, and aunt Megan were killed in a tragic car accident.
She made the addition that Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah and Gia were also injured and are in the hospital. The member of the Putman family wrote, "We are requesting total healing and strength to each of them.
My whole family Papa, Neenee, Billy, Jen, Brandon, Kacie, Blake, Megan, Jamie, Blair, and me (Isabelle), Abby, Emma, Addison, Bella, Mercy, Gabby, Noah, Mya, Nova, Lulu, Alena, Gia, Jonah, Eli, Solomon, Uriah, Samson, Luke, and Anna all declare that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. He is our hope, our peace, our salvation. In this heart-breaking time we sleep knowing God is in control, continued Isabella.
She also included in her statement that they would like you to keep on praying to Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah and Gia on the way up, and our entire family on this painful journey of loss. Gratitude to all your prayers and messages and actions of love. Your support can never be put in words.
The Putmans lasted six episodes on TLC between September and October 2017.
This reality television show trailed the lives of Bill and Barb and their 4 children and their extended families all residing in a huge mansion.
In 2021, the YouTube series Growing Up Putman was a revival of Meet the Putmans. The latest upload of the family was in January.
Additional information about the automobile accident which killed three members of the Putman family and injured the other five is not very clear at first.
On Sept. 27, PEOPLE did not receive an immediate response when it requested the Putman family and its representatives to comment.
