In an Instagram post on Friday, Sept. 26., the mother of the reality star, Mama June Shannon, said that Alana, 20, was T-boned as she was leaving her driveway in Denver.
In the video uploaded, Mama June directly looks at the camera and explains that somebody was not listening, and ran over her on the road. They are always hurrying along the road.
But Mama June claimed that Alana was lucky because the man driving the other vehicle was 23 and told her he was going 40 miles an hour and he was likely not paying attention.
But anyhow, now that I mention it, Alana is okay," Mama June added, still talking about Alana: "She was struck on the driver side of her car. It could have been a lot worse. She was [taken] to the hospital. She does complain of some back pain, she is experiencing a little bit of headache troubles, but we are going to Denver, so we can get her a rental car, and can get her fixed.
Mama June posted a lot more about the car crash and her response upon hearing it occurred in the caption of her Instagram post.
Describing that she despises living an hour away from her youngest daughter, Mama June remarked that when you receive that phone call, you can feel your stomach dropping and then you hear someone screaming.
In total, the Toddlers & Tiaras alum has four daughters: Alana, Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon and Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efrid, and Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, who passed away on Dec. 9, 2023, after being diagnosed with adrenal carcinoma.
Continuing on the topic of Alana being injured, Mama June said, "She got a few bruises, but other than that she is fine [since her] first car accident. She further stated that her child is at home and sleeping.
The reality star also disclosed that the first call that Alana made after the incident was to the police and the second one to her clinical director. She was explaining because tomorrow would have been her first day of clinicals. Alana is a student undertaking a nursing degree course at Regis University.
Nevertheless, Mama June claimed that Alana insisted on coming get to her first day and was going to get up in the morning and come.
