He said that he had no idea that the song would be the most famous on his 5ive Album.
Before his song with Omah Lay, he said that he was thought about retiring from music after ten years of doing it. Davido was thankful to have a song that did so well after 14 years in the music business. He said that some artists get such big hits early in their careers, while others get them much later.
Part of what the musician said was, "We thank God." After 13 or 14 years, I finally had this kind of song. A lot of people have them at the start or middle of their work. I was about to bow out when God gave me this kind of song. He gave it more life for sure...

Davido's "With You" featuring Omah Lay is now the most-streamed Nigerian song of 2025 on Spotify.
It also made it to the top of lists like the Official Nigeria Top 100 and became a top 5 Afrobeats song on Billboard US. It was nominated for "Song of the Year" at the 2025 AFRIMA Awards.
