The violent armed robbery that Qdot, a popular Nigerian singer, experienced in the early hours of this day has left the artist traumatised.
X incluencer Dami Adenuga got to know that the assault occurred at about 2:30am when gunmen forced their way into the home of the artist. With advanced weapons, the armed robbers held Qdot at gunpoint and then took away his phones, laptops and other valuables.
It was verified that the offenders even broke into the bank accounts of Qdot and emptied them. They also took possession of his social media accounts, raising the possibility of being impersonated or threatened with blackmail.
It is therefore advised that the general population should not act on any doubtful message, posting, or any solicitation to the purse of the Qdot accounts at this stage.
This follows the rape and mugging of singer Lil Kesh a few weeks ago in his Lekki home in Lagos Nigeria.
At press time, Qdot did not give a personal statement but intimate associates indicated that he was well and that he was being supported by family and friends. The incident has increased new questions on the safety of Nigerian entertainers as they fall targets of the armed gangs due to their perceived affluence.
The police officials have not given an official report but the neighbours reported to Lens News that the robbery was fast and professionally done and the community is stunned.
