When people apply for the WASCI job, they are given a plane ticket to and from their home country, a place to stay that is already furnished, lunch during the workweek, and a monthly stipend.
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a regional non-governmental group whose goal is to help civil society organisations in West Africa become more sustainable and improve their ability to work and help people. As part of its efforts to get more involved with Nigeria's civil society activity platforms, WACSI opened a node office (WACSI Node) in Abuja in November 2022 to help Nigeria's civil society groups and formations improve their skills.
Because of this, WACSI is looking for an intern who wants to learn more about civic issues and improve their work skills.
The intern will be involved in the main areas of work at WACSI and will be in charge of helping to plan and carry out the Institute's operations in WACSI Node Nigeria.
Here are the things you need to do to be eligible for the WASCI Internship:
1. Have at least a bachelor's degree in a field connected to international relations, politics, public policy, law, development studies, or something similar.
2. Show that you are interested in managing non-profits and civil society groups.
Duration and Reward:
1. WACSI will pay for this job in full. In exchange for an internship, the institute will pay for the intern's trip to and from their home country, their housing, lunch during the workweek, and a monthly stipend.
2. The chosen intern will spend a lot of time at the WACSI office in Abuja, Nigeria, during the job.
