As if you needed another reason to get pumped for the new Captain America and Spider-Man movies, Tom Holland says that the Cap's latest film, Civil War, has made him even more excited for his own Marvel solo. The only problem is that he will have to wait a few months before filming starts on Spider-Man.
"Civil War is going to be a great movie; it's going to be a giant movie and I'm going to have the success of that movie to carry me on to my own," the 19-year-old actor told The Belfast Telegraph. "It was also a real eye-opener of what it will be like when I start my film." For me the problem with Civil War is that it made me 10 times more excited to jump into Spider-Man but we don't jump for months so I've got to sit on that excitement. Civil War will begin on May 6 and pit Marvel's heroes against each other when governments around the world impose stricter regulations on super-hero activity. Holland's web-slinging debut in the film will see him lead the charge as the next Spider-Man film for a July 28, 2017 release.
Holland went on, "I'm just trying to take each day as it comes and there's not much you can really prepare for besides keeping yourself grounded and keeping the people around you close and my main focus right now is to ensure that my work isn't getting below a certain standard."
