Denise Richards' former husband slapped, choked, and 'threatened to kill' her, her cousin testifies.

Denise Richards said that her ex-husband Aaron Phypers abused her physically, and on Monday, his cousin Kathleen McAllister backed her up in court.

McAllister said during a virtual appearance at the Los Angeles venue, "I saw Aaron hit Denise, and right away she had a really bad black eye." He said this while saying that he had hit Richards with his palm. "I'm literally in shock now to this day about it."

Phypers has previously rejected all claims of abuse. The actress from "The Wild Things" wants to make Phypers' temporary protection order last forever. After they broke up, Richards first accused him of domestic abuse. He asked for a divorce in July, saying that they could no longer get along.

They got married on September 8, 2018, just two days after saying they were going to get married.

She worked at Phypers' fitness centre and said she saw him "pin [Richards] against the concrete wall where his truck was parked at the office." It was because he was choking her that her head hit the wall and hurt it, McAllister said. "She was just very angry, hurt, and lost." "I was afraid she might have died." It came to her mind that Richards had texted her from the toilet in the office, where she was hiding from Phypers.

"Aaron was making her scared, and she needed help," McAllister said. It was also said by McAllister that Phypers "threatened to kill us."

"He just would be raging and threatening that if we told anybody, he’d kill us all," she stated. "As abuse escalated through the years, he exploited our empathy."

Richards went to the hearing and said that Phypers "would often threaten to throw me through the windows and off balconies." "He almost killed me so many times."

The magazine got a copy of a court document from July in which Richards said that her husband would "frequently violently choke me." Phypers' official answer said she had "attacked" and "harassed" him by calling him several times.

"I have not abused her and will not abuse her," Phypers wrote.

Entertainment Weekly has talked to people who work for both Richards and Phypers.

Between 2000 and 2006, Richards was married to star Charlie Sheen. Phypers married actress Nicollette Sheridan in 2015 but split up the next year.
