The famous singer Tiwa Savage has talked about her long-standing feud with fellow artist Seyi Shay, making it clear what really happened between them.
The singer of "Somebody's Son" talked about how the feud that used to rule social media started in an interview on Off Air with Gbemi O and Toolz that was posted on Saturday. Tiwa said that the misunderstanding started when a diss track came out along with claims that she had tried to stop other female artists from getting opportunities in the business.
Tiwa Savage says that being against female artists is not true.
But the singer said these claims were false and upsetting because they didn't show what she stood for or how she felt about other women in music.
"If you do something to me, I will tell you," she said. I don't need to blog about it. I'm not going to act like we're cool in a salon when you did a diss track, just like with the shade. Tiwa says she was shocked when she first heard about the insult and the claims that she was trying to "block bags" for her coworkers, such as Seyi Shay and Victoria Kimani.
She talks about being pro-women.
She said that she has always believed in women's equality and working together, and she emphasised that she has helped many women in public and in private.
„That hurt, and I didn't know where it was coming from. Up until now, I may need to talk to Shay.
"I heard they thought I stopped their bag." How? If someone told you that I tried to block your bag, please name them so I can take care of it. She also said that, contrary to what was said, she had missed out on a big advertising deal with Seyi Shay because she was pregnant with her son Jamil.
"I was kicked off a Pepsi campaign called Longer Throat when I got pregnant with Jamil. Shay was booked for it instead."
"Check it again. Shay was a brand ambassador, but I wasn't."
"I was kicked off because I couldn't go back in time." How am I going to stop someone else's bag? I wasn't mad at all. "I worked out and got my body back," she said. Watch video below …
