The news came out when Imisi was talking to reporters not long after getting her ₦150 million grand prize and brand-new car at the official event in Lagos.
Vanguard news reports that Imisi said being in the BBNaija house helped her show off her acting skills. She plans to take her love of acting even more seriously now that she's not on the show.
"I believe many people saw how good an actor I am in the house." People in the house even told me I'm a great actor. "Smile, I'm ready for more," Imisi said.
The BBNaija winner talked about her plans after the show and said that her biggest dream is to work with Funke Akindele, whom she sees as her most important guide in Nollywood.
"Yes, Funke Akindele is my main teacher." I'd like to work with her one day. "Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola are also big influences on me," she said.
Imisi also said that Funke Akindele's work, especially her films and TV shows, has made her think that creativity, hard work, and consistency can pay off in the entertainment business.
Imisi said that her win was "overwhelming," and she's still trying to process it. She's very thankful for all the love and support she's received from people in Nigeria and around the world.
"I'm still in shock," she said. There has been a lot of love. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. And I'm thankful for everyone who helped me.
When Imisi was asked about things said on social media that made it sound like her Yoruba background helped her win, she told the truth.
"Perhaps." "I believe Yoruba people are very helpful to each other, so that could have helped," she said.
That being said, she quickly added that Nigerians really connected with her because she was honest and open.
"I was just being myself." It didn't seem like a plan to me. "I was just living my truth," she said.
When Imisi thought back on her journey, she also thanked her Celestial Church community for praying for her and being there for her the whole time she was in Big Brother.
She said that her faith was a big part of what kept her grounded and focused during the tough parts of the race.
"Fame is new to me," she said. I'm going to look for a guide, learn, and make plans. That's what I want to do.
