In a 911 tape that TMZ obtained, one of the operators indicated that there was somebody down at the beginning of the day on Saturday.
On October 11, the dispatcher said, Rescue 19, person down, then she proceeded to give the address of the actress. The news outlet reported that Los Angeles Fire Department took Keaton to a local hospital. Her family informed People magazine that Keaton died aged 79.
According to the news source, a very close friend of the Hollywood star told that the health of Keaton had become rapidly worse.
One of the friends of the Oscar winner told People, that she rejected it very fast and this was a great disappointment to everyone. It was so much unexpected, particularly to one so strong and spirited.
With her in her final few months were few but the members of her immediate family, and they were determined to maintain complete silence. The friend said even long time friends were not aware of everything that was going on. Grammy and Oscar winning singer Carole Bayer Sager has written about how she visited Keaton, which was her final visit, not long before her death.
Sager informed People, that she had seen her two or three weeks ago, and that she was very thin. Sager co-wrote the song by Keaton, First Christmas. "She had lost so much weight." She had to go to Palm Springs, she had a house which had been a mess in the L.A. wildfires, and they had to clean it, said she. She had been away down there a good long time, and when she returned I was just a little flustered by the loss of weight she had had.
She was not well, though, Sarger said, she was a magic light to all.
"I loved her so much." She was one of her kind because her vitality was enough to illuminate a room. She was in fine humour, and was snapping pictures of all she saw. She was quite inventive and she never gave up creating anything.
Another friend of the star said that he was funny to the end. According to one of her friends, she lived her life her way, on her own conditions, with the people and things that she truly cared about. She has been having a limited number of friends close to her over the last few years because she could like it this way. She used to laugh at the end and she made even ordinary things extraordinary. She was just like that.
Some of her old co-stars and other celebrities came to give tribute to the Hollywood legend when the news reached that Keaton had died.
Such stars as Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley honored the life and works of Keaton.
Martin, as the on-screen husband of the popular comedy "Father of the Bride" of 1991 and its 1995 sequel of the same title, which also starred Martin Short, had a funny recollection of the actress as well as some lines he wrote about her in an interview with his fellow actors.
"Who looks better? It's me or Steve Martin?" Short published in the story in 2021 in Interview magazine.

In the father of the bride movies, Williams-Paisley acted as Annie Banks, daughter of George Banks of Martin and Nina Banks of Keaton. Big 4000 was also on the post of the Only Murders in the Building star, in which she said, I can certainly hear her say so and attached a crying laughing smiling face emoji to the text.
Williams-Paisley was no exception as she gave a tribute to Keaton on Instagram, posting photos of herself with the actress playing her mother on screen. Williams-Paisley said inside the picture, Diane, it will always be one of the best times of my life working with you. You are one of a kind, and it was a good experience to spend some time with you. Thank you so much because of your giving, kindness, skill and above all your laughter.
Hawn authored an emotional Instagram post. In 1996, she appeared together with Keaton and Bette Midler in the highly successful ensemble comedy, The First Wives Club. Diane, we would not want to lose you yet. You have left a trail of fairy dust behind you, a trail of light particles and memories, which are difficult to imagine, Hawn wrote next to a photo of Keaton.
"How do we say goodbye?" she asked next. What would you say when you have a broken heart? You were too good not to dislike compliment, but now you can not tell me to "shut up," honey. You have never been and will be like anybody. Your movies made a lot of people adore you and believe that you were smart. It is because your movies turned us into laughers and criers like no one else.
Hawn said, "I was lucky enough to create First Wives Club with you, our days beginning with coffee in the makeup trailer, laughing and joking, till the very end of shooting. I fell in love everywhere.
Hawn said, "We had a deal, we are going to grow old together, and one day we would live with all our girlfriends. We did not live together, but we got older together. Who knows? Maybe in another life. Spread your fairy dust, sweetheart, high. I'm really going to miss you. At last the Oscar winner said, My heart goes out to your gorgeous children, Dex and Duke.
Midler also honored the memory of Keaton by posting a black and white photo of her on Instagram with a moving note.
Why, the brilliant, the beautiful, the extraordinary Diane Keaton is dead, she said to us. I cannot say how sad this would make me.
Midler said that she was funny, totally original, and totally guileless, or the least competitiveness one would have thought such a star to possess. It was what you saw it was who she was, oh, la, lala!
