Tinubu says to Bishop Kukah, who is 70 years old, "I'm a few months older than you."

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), said that he is a few months older than Bishop Matthew Kukah, the leader of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto.

Bishop Kukah turned 70 yesterday, and Tinubu spoke at his birthday party. He praised Kukah for his good works and made it clear that he knew what the priest was building. Tinubu said that they both have a bigger role to play in making Nigeria better. Tinubu said, "You're building an institution to honor your 70th birthday. I'm also 70, so I could still help." I'm only a few months older than you.

"But Bishop, you'll help make Nigeria better. You are in charge of making a country great. It's also on my shoulders, and we have to work together to build it.

"I have to help build and finish that institution, and I will do so in a big way and with my own money."

Tinubu's age has been a source of trouble over the years. Some Nigerians think Tinubu is older than 80, but the APC presidential candidate says he is only 70.
