Governor Zulum Will Train Students To Learn Trades In Borno State
The governor of Borno state, Professor Babagana Umar Zulum, has confirmed that it is necessary to build vocational training centers for the students to be self-reliant, during a meeting held by the board at the government house on Tuesday while receiving a report on the assessment of the number and registration of schools in the state which was presented to him by the agency that monitors Arabic schools and schools.
Governor Zulum said that he has already given orders to build this vocational training center to help the students become self-reliant, and give them the opportunity to join the community after they have received training.
Governor Zulum added that this will surely reduce the number of youths who roam the streets of Maiduguri and other towns.
Presenting the petition, Sheikh Khalifa Ahmad Abul Fatahi said that during the assessment and registration, they visited all twenty-seven (27) local governments except Abadam and Kala-Balge.
He added that while carrying out this work, they managed to identify two thousand seven hundred and seventy-two (2,772) teachers and twelve thousand three hundred and nine (12,309) teachers.
The total number of students is two hundred and twenty-four and sixty-eight (224,068), among the number of students who are staying overnight, they are one thousand seven and two hundred and seventy-nine (97,279). their number is about one hundred and eight thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine (128,789).
Then about four hundred and fifty-one (451) Muslims registered across the state.
