Rupert Murdoch, a 92-year-old media entrepreneur, and millionaire, announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith less than a year after the legalization of his divorce from Jerry Hall, his fourth wife.
On Monday morning, he made the announcement in an interview with one of his own magazines, the New York Post, disclosing that he had proposed to his 66-year-old fiancée on St. Patrick's Day in New York City with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire ring.
Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, admitted that he was 'nervous' about proposing yet again, admitting that he had 'dreaded falling in love' - but that he is convinced that his marriage to Smith will be his 'last'.
