China Will Strengthen Wildlife Protection Under New Law Launched
China's modified wildlife protection law, which was passed in December of last year, went into effect on Monday. The legislation that China aims to implement in order to better protect wildlife and their habitats.
The law has been updated to include measures for government assistance to those who have incurred losses as a result of the slaughter of wild animals, as well as the extension of provisions from those relating to animals under national protection to all species existing on Earth that seriously endanger humanity.
China's wildlife protection law was formed in 1988, and it was reaffirmed in December of last year after undergoing its first revision in 2016.
