Kenya has welcomed the United Nations Secretary-General.
As a result of the weeks of violence, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres traveled to Kenya to evaluate the humanitarian and security situation in Sudan.
On Wednesday morning, Mr. Guterres was welcomed by Alfred Mutua, the foreign minister of Kenya, at Nairobi International Airport, the nation's capital.
The UN chief will meet with all of the heads of UN agencies in Nairobi during his two-day visit, as well as have a conversation with President William Ruto.
A seven-day ceasefire between the warring factions in Sudan will start on Thursday.
