Sudan Crisis: The first plane carrying Nigerians is expected to arrive in the country
According to the Nigerian government, the first group of citizens who were evacuated from Saudi Arabia due to the conflict in Sudan will arrive in Nigeria in the ensuing hours.
This was stated in Abuja, the nation's capital, by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the director of the organization that manages Nigerians who reside overseas.
The people who were transported back from Sudan to a town named Aqeel near the country's border to be picked up by the Nigerian embassy in Egypt have now been collected.
She continued by saying that the last of the Sudanese citizens will be returned to Egypt on Wednesday morning.
According to Mrs. Dabiri, everything is set to transport the pupils from Aswan Airport to Abuja.
She noted that plans have already been made by Air Peace and the Air Force for the pupils to be flown to Abuja following the screening.
In the city of Khartoum, the struggle between the senior officers of the Sudanese army resulted in hundreds of fatalities and numerous injuries.
