The court sentenced a young man to 13 years in prison for armed robbery
A 29-year-old guy called Gwom Yusuf-Ali was given a 13-year prison term for armed robbery by a high court in the state of Nasarawa.
Since November 2020, when police apprehended the young man from Barkin Ladi local government of Plateau state following his arrest for robbery in Gunki-Marmara town of Nasarawa local government, he has been held in a correctional facility.
The young man was also found guilty of illegally possessing guns, according to the Daily Trust.
According to the prosecutor, R.D.K. Adagba Esq., the suspect admitted to robbing a man while brandishing a gun at him, stealing his money, and speeding off on a motorcycle.
