A Commonwealth delegation arrived in Sierra Leone to monitor the country's elections
A group of people from the Commonwealth of Nations has come to Sierra Leone to watch how next week's presidential election goes.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who used to be Vice President of Nigeria, will lead a group of people who will talk about the election plan with the President of the Electoral Commission, the leaders of the country's political parties, and civil society groups.
Two candidates are now in the lead for the election on the 24th of this month. They are the current president, Julius Mado Bio, and his old opponent, Samura Kamara, who came in second in the 2018 election, which Bio won.
On the 24th of the month, when they vote for the president, they are also likely to vote for members of the Legislative Assembly and local governments.

But the leader of the country's opposition, Samura Kamara, has accused the head of the electoral commission of trying to rig the election, and he has asked him to step down as head of the commission.
