Governor Soludo told the IGBO tribe, "Come back and rebuild your area to keep your pride."
Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has told all of the Igbo people who live in Lagos to work on making their state better so that they can keep their pride.
Soludo made this call at a meeting he held with people from Anambra State who live in Lagos.
Governor Soludo's Media Spokesperson, Christian Aburime, said in a statement that the governor went to a meeting on engineering at the University of Lagos.
"If you don't move to improve your neighbourhood, there's no doubt that people in Lagos won't treat you with respect." Said Soludo.
Soludo asked the people of Anambra State to keep working hard to help the state grow and improve.
"I always ask myself this question. Because we have the right to make Anambra better than it was when we found it."
Soludo made this call after the Lagos government destroyed 17 shops in Alaba Market, Lagos.
