Muslims around the world are celebrating the Great Prayer

Wednesday is the day when people all over the world pray the most. After the Eid prayer, Muslims who have been blessed by God offer offerings to God S.W.A by killing animals.

The main prayer is celebrated for about four days and is done the same way in every country. It is done to remember how the Prophet Ibrahim wanted to sacrifice his son Ismail to God, but God gave him a lamb instead. This story is told in Suratul As-Saffat, the 37th chapter of the Holy Qur'an.

After the Eid prayer, which is the service before Azahar, Muslims kill animals and give them to family, friends, and people who are in need.

There are strict rules about which animals can be killed for this very important sacrifice, according to Islamic law.

This day of Eid al-Adha is very important because it is the peak of Hajj, which is one of the five bases of Islam.
