Nigerians continue to react to the suspension of the head of the EFCC
Abdulrasheed Bawa, the head of the Anti-Russian Commission, has been suspended by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, for allegedly abusing his position in a way that is unconstitutional. This is a scenario that continues to attract protests from many sections of the country.
This comes as a result of the new president suspending the governor of the country's central bank, Godwin Emefiele, as well as the president of the national oil firm, NNPC, who is Mele Kyari. The suspension took place less than a week ago.
A response has already been given by the former head of the EFCC to the call that was placed to him by the DSS.
Around two weeks after a disagreement between the SSS and the EFCC on the building that they shared in Lagos, this took place.
During the hours that the hostage situation lasted on May 30, the officers from the SSS prohibited the EFCC workers from conducting their job inside the facility.
