Sudan's RSF has announced a ceasefire for Eid

The cease-fire agreement issued by the commander of the RSF forces will take effect today and last through Wednesday's Eid prayers.

The head of the RSF, Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, made the announcement to stop the conflict in a voice message that was broadcast on the Al Arabiya TV channel.

The measure, according to him, will be effective on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

General Hemedti also denounced the use of force against people, including by his own troops.

The RSF is charged with crimes against humanity in Darfur.
