The Russian city of Rostov has been declared a war zone

Because of worries about attacks by Wagner mercenaries, traffic has stopped in the Rostov region, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Vasily Golubev, the governor of Rostov, encouraged citizens to stay inside.

As a result of what is happening, he urged people to avoid going into the city's core and, if at all possible, to stay inside.

On the other side, in some publicised films, soldiers in military garb were spotted in Rostov-on-Don city with heavy weapons, ready to launch attacks.

Wagner's soldiers may or may not be members of the Russian military, though this is unclear.
