There is a clash between the community and the police over the murder of a young man in France

Following a night of violence between people and security personnel as a result of the shooting death of a young man by a police officer, French President Emmanuel Macron is calling an urgent meeting of his ministers.

Macron stated that there is no justification for anyone to assault governmental structures at the start of the meeting.

Protests in some of the nation's biggest cities have so far resulted in the detention of more than 150 people.

Nael, a 17-year-old who was assassinated, was connected to foreign nationals.

On Tuesday, a police officer held him at gunpoint throughout the incident.

To quell the situation, the police have been called in who are trained in dispersing protestors.
