UPDATED This Week: Davido and Chioma’s son, Ifeanyi dead
The reported death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of famous musician Davido and his fiancee Chioma Rowland, has caused a lot of sadness.
Ifeanyi, Davido's first son, is said to have drowned in a pool at his father's home in Lagos State's Banana Island neighborhood.
After being pulled from the pool, the 3-year-old victim was apparently rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, where one of the doctors on duty confirmed that he was dead.
At the time this story was written, the victim's family hadn't said anything about the sad news.
But since the rumored death of Ifeanyi became public information, Nigerians, especially those who like entertainment, have been shocked and upset by the news.
Daddy Freeze went live on Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning and said, "When the person you love is involved, it becomes a huge emotional burden. I'm not saying anything for sure, but please understand that I won't be live tonight."
Lasisi Elenu also wrote, "Father, heal your children's hearts from this pain, and strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time, oh Lord."
Rosemary Afuwape, a reality TV star and actor, said on her Instagram story, "My heart can't take this. This hurts so much that I can't stand it. Chioma and Davido, I'm sorry for your loss. No words can make your hearts feel better. I'm really sorry for what happened."
