According to the agency, the individuals were detained after being informed of their unlawful mining activities.
According to the EFCC, it has detained at least 80 illegal miners and 24 trucks carrying illicit minerals during the past eight months.
Wilson Uwujaren, the agency's spokesperson, stated that the information they obtained following the arrests proved that the suspects were engaging in their activities in 16 local governments around the state.
The organization added that once its investigation is complete, it will bring legal charges against them.
