Google Conference Scholarships for African Students in 2023 Updates
At Google, we think that in order to create tools that have the potential to transform the world, a variety of skills, backgrounds, and viewpoints are required. They also think that everyone should have the chance to seek a job in technology, connections in the industry, and peer networking.
We are pleased to provide Google Conference Scholarships for specific conferences in the technology industry and allied fields in an effort to reduce the obstacles that prohibit underrepresented groups in business and technology from attending top conferences.
Conditions to Apply for Google Conference Scholarships Qualification
1. Applicants must be full-time students in need of conference travel funding who are enrolled at an accredited university in Africa.
2. Obtain acceptance for a paper at a prestigious computer science conference. In research areas where Google has a keen interest, we prefer to support conferences in those fields. For a list of areas, visit research.google.com.
3. Be the first author—alone or with a partner—of the accepted paper.
How to Apply
By the deadline for the conference you want to attend, kindly submit this form. We are presently accepting proposals to reimburse conference costs due to the shift to virtual conferences. Please email research-africa@google.com with any inquiries.
